Spyware shutting down IE?

Well I have a Dazzle 80 capture card cable. (To capture things from the TV onto the computer.) When I went to install it onto my new computer I realized I had lost the serial to the program. So I started looking for some online and as I was searching through, Low and behold somethign shutdown all my IE pages. IT also took away my Yahoo and Google tollbars. (They are still installed I just cant put them on.) Now It only lets me have one IE page open at a time. If I open up another it shuts down the first IE page. Or if I click on a link the same thing will happen. I had this happen to me once but soething fixed it and Now I cant get it to work again. Anyone help?

For spyware solutions, Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy works very well. If you are willing to try Microsoft's beta, you can also consider defender. Both are currently free.

Always remember that an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. That said, do not visit unknown websites, open suspicious emails and attachments, or click on links that you don鈥檛 know what it鈥檚 for. Also, always keep your anti-spyware and antivirus programs on. These simple guidelines will save you from hours of headaches with pop-up ads and computer slow down.

Good luck and have a nice day!

My IE says Click to activete and Use this Control when I....?

Hi,

I'm faceing one serious problem %26amp; that is

When I mouse over any Flash movie in IE it gives me a message Click here to activate and use this control.

I also re-installed my IE thrice for my system running on XP Pro. and even I downloaded Adob player plugin for it.but the problem persist in my system.Did anyone recognize the problem and give the Solution I'd be thankful to that friend.

Thanks,

My IE says Click to activete and Use this Control when I....?microsoft exchange

i guess this is normal for window xp service pack 2.

My IE says Click to activete and Use this Control when I....?windows vista ultimate internet explorer

All that means is that you have clicked somewhere outside of the flash movie and it's telling you that you can click on the flash movie to activate it's controls, like buttons and things that may be in the flash, once you click on it, it shouldn't say it again unless you click outside of it again.
You need to have Macromedia flash plugin. You said you have downloaded adobe plugin. Else check your security settings.

IE 7. I would like to know pros and cons.?

One of my sisters put IE 7 on my mom's computer and I was at first madder than a hornet. I've had previous experience with it and all of them were negative. But before I rehash any bad memories onto the one that did the work, I'd like to know the opinions of other people. I'm asking this in two locations to get more possible responses.

IE 7. I would like to know pros and cons.?default browser

Cons would be IE7 itself as well as allowing ActiveX which is the biggest security flaw in IE.

I highly recommend Firefox.

In this review, CNET Prizefight Internet Explorer 7 vs. Firefox 2, Firefox wins in every category.

Firefox is better in every way including, installation woes, look and community, tabbed browsing, cool new features, security and performance. The winner is clearly Firefox 2.

IE 7. I would like to know pros and cons.?microsoft word download internet explorer

I like it... Tab Browsing, integrated Search Engine of you choice, better security, built in POP-UP Blocker. Of course everything Fire Fox has too.
I never really had any bad experiences with it, but I avoid using IE period, because it's known to be more vulnerable than other browsers. I prefer Firefox and Opera, you should check those out.

IE 7 is a bit of a system hog, but it's supposed to be compatible with more sites.

I still recommend FireFox 2 (3 should be out soon). FireFox is free and fully customizable.

Both feature tabbed browsing, but it's slightly easier to install Flash for IE than FireFox.

CartoonNetwork and some sites heavily driven by Flash operate better on IE.

FireFox is just a more streamlined experience.

IE 7 is prettier

FireFox has skins.

Again, try Fire Fox if you can. Skip IE for everything else.

(If you really need an IE window, FireFox has the "IE Tab" which allows you to use FireFox, but view the page as if it was in IE)

Is anyone having trouble with IE 7 after updating to YM 8?

I was having trouble with IE premature closings, and lockup when I tried to close IE. By disabling "Yahoo IE Service Button"; "Yahoo IE Suggest" ; and "Yahoo Services" in the browser, (Tools; Manage Add Ons: Enable or Disable Add Ons), it resolved the problem. With any one of these add ons Enabled, I still had the same problem. Hope this info may help if any experience the same/or other problems.

You have to sign in once to yahoo right before turning firewall back on so that the firewall will allow all of yahoo to have the access it needs to run properly hope this saves you time and sanity

Microsoft developed anti-spyware several years ago after Bill Gates discovered spyware on his computer.

It is called Windows Defender and it is free.

I once had a anti-spyware link (such as yours) attach itself to my IE program under "tools". It didn't do any harm but I could not get rid of it, even after deleting IE and reinstalling it.
IE antispyware itself is spyware

Run your anti-spyware in Safe Mode.If you dont have an excellent anti-spyware or your current anti-spyware can't prevent spyware from Invading you computer,download a better one.

There are top 5 anti-spywares reviews,comparisons and download links on

http://www.anti-spyware-center.com

You can download and scan your computer for free.

As the computer is booting press your "F8 Key" repeatly which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" . Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

After into safe mode,run an anti-spyware to remove the spyware and adware on you computer.

Make sure you have 1 or 2 antispyware on your computer and 1 antivirus and also 1 firewall.

However, is there a way of getting firefox to launch it using the IE Tab automatically? Some sites are picky and want only the Trident (IE Engine).

If microsoft separated it's IE from windows?

before, netscape sued to microsoft, asked microsft to separated it's IE from windows system.

I'm confused, if microsoft separated IE from windows, how do we get other explorers such as netscape? if you want to use netscape, you must have a IE, then you visit netscape's website with IE and download it.

If microsoft separated it's IE from windows?microsoft updates

If IE was seperated, Netsacpe would still be in business and eveyone would be using a browser of thier choice. You see prior to all this controversy, browsers could be ordered from comanpies and thay shipped on CD-ROMs/Floppy disks just like all other software today, so there is no need to have IE to get netscape.

Besides netscape there are other browsers like Opera and Mozilla that are *far* more superiror to IE and offer btter features. It is possible to get rid of "IE" from Win98 using custom programs... but it will void your license.

Let's assume that I have an IE explorer open. its IE thats doing this. Hex Variables used in many versions of windows that were released without the new verion of windows have a tenticy to confuse header requests with other windows, bringing them up if the are in the cache, like when they are open. Once they are in the RAM (minimised) this problem wont happen. Other browsers that are written in Visual Basic, like maxthon will have this problem as well, but if it [the browser] made out of a different language or configures the headers differently, then it will work fine. Mozilla is written in c++

try refreshing the page or going to your home page
Dump then reload the 7 upgrade. Empty Recycle Bin, Shut down, reboot.

Reload 7, (if you must). Shut down/reboot.
dunno, lol
It is possible that you have history in the cache that is somehow in conflict with the new version----go to your internet options page and delete all history there ---keep the cookies---they are hard to do without once you restart---retry to load your pages

??? if this doesn't do it---you may have to remove and reinstall as mentioned by the dude here earlier

Hope this gets you going again

And, good luck !!!
This is a real nasty one that I've been through! When you download the new IE 7 and it does not load, it normally leaves a file on your computer explaining why- usually it's in your registry and you have to go in through your start menu to what is called "regedit" and search a certain setting in your registry that's preventing it from loading and change it. If you do not get this file, go to the MS site and type in "IE7 does not load" and hopefully it brings up the causes and solutions for you. If not, you may have to phone Microsoft while you are doing it and get them to walk you through it. If this is not the case, you may have a damaged winninet.dll file from a virus that went around the net recently. Before doing anything, make sure that all your important files are backed up. I had to re-format my computer.
Its time you changed your browser to Firefox or Opera and give time to MIcrosoft to stabilise IE7.

? It is best not to use the idea above of absolute positioning. that only works well if you are absolutely certain what monitor resolution your targeted audiernce is going to use. Getting a table to center correctly in IE.. Works in Firefox, not IE.?windows firewall internet explorer

Use the power of CSS.

div#my_table {

position: absolute;

left: #px;

top: #px;

}

Put that sucker anywhere you want after that. :D
you shouldn't use tables to layout text. use a div tag instead. where your content is try this. this will spread the whole width and align the text center in the div.

I have just learned that ie store info that i cant delet that i dont want it to. how do i uninstall

i have learned that with all those settings off it disables other temporary files but this one file it does not. no matter what you have set it logs everything and if you tell ie to delete history it deletes it from the ie history list but not from this log. Their is no way to disable this and you can not delete it because it is emebeded in the os and hidden in hidden folders i have found it but can only read it. i have read forums on some hacking site that use remote password and email stealling software to suck your info out of this file. I know it is not safe and i want to know if any one knows how to make it safe or disable it. What do any of you thin of this. I checked my file after i have disable all loging and history tracing in ie and deleted all private data then checked this file and it has histor from when i first installed my os. and the first sites i ever went on. i think this is ridiculous and should be taken care of this shows how dumb microsoft is.

You can't fully uninstall IE from Windows XP / 2000 / NT. It is integrated into the OS at a very low level. Windows 95 / 98 / ME is a different story. That can be done. You didn't mention what operating system you are running though.

Click on "tools" and then "internet options".

On the top tab labelled "General", near the bottom should be a "tabs" section.

Choose "settings" to the right of this section.

Then ensure that "Open home page for new tabs instead of blank page" is selected.

Also, it might matter if "Open only the first home page when internet explorer starts" tab is checked, but probably only if you have designated multiple pages.

Is IE 7.0 a complete disaster,or is it just me who is ready to tear his hair out ?

Last week,my computer said there was an update to Internet Explorer 7.0. Like an idiot, I clicked on it and ever since, my life has become very complicated with computer issues. The whole program/ system is so slow, it is mind- boggling. The Norton online security took twelve hours to do a full scan yesterday. It found an infected file and every few minutes, I get an e- mail stating that Norton found the security risk, followed by another e- mail moments later, stating that the file has been removed. Then it repeats itself. Am I the only person confounded by IE 7.0 ? Once it is on my computer, can it be safely removed, to go back to IE 6.0, or is it too late ? Thank you.

Is IE 7.0 a complete disaster,or is it just me who is ready to tear his hair out ?microsoft access

I almost never recommend a Microsoft product, but IE7 is better than IE6. However you should do what most of us in the Computer %26amp; Internet section did a long time ago and dump IE for Firefox.

I highly recommend Firefox (even though IE is still needed for certain websites). You can still keep IE7, just use when required.

In this review, CNET Prizefight Internet Explorer 7 vs. Firefox 2, Firefox wins in every category.

Firefox is better in every way including, installation woes, look and community, tabbed browsing, cool new features, security and performance. The winner is clearly Firefox 2.

Is IE 7.0 a complete disaster,or is it just me who is ready to tear his hair out ?windows mobile 6 internet explorer

I only keep IE7 for some sites that don't work well with FireFox. Try uninstalling Norton completely, back up any settings if you need to. Reboot, check for any more IE7 updates. If system performance restores then either choose a different security software suite or reinstall Norton. If system performance is crappy then there is something in the IE7 update that isn't working well with Norton. On a personal note, Norton is an enemy of mine. I have never had luck with it since 1997, tried up until 2002 and eventually gave up on it.

Finally, look at Nortons advanced settings, maybe turning something off or changing a setting will fix everything for you.

Also see if you can uninstall the update to IE7.
Try the Maxthon web browser and your surfing experience will change...I like it so much, even more than Firefox...you won't be dissapointed...

For the question, yes, IE 7.0 is not as a disaster as previous editions, but a disaster in the end..
U R aware that there R alternate browsers....Look.
if your sure its the update, just remove it, add/remove little box on top, show updates. but sounds like other problems to me. bugs. the fact that norton has a problem tells me, you have more
When the updates came in IE7, did you turn Norton off first before downloading? So many ppl get into problems thru this avenue.

Personally, I would never ever have Norton installed on my puter~

Went thru that with them way, way back in the early days~

Before rebooting, download another one of the top 3 antivirus programs to a SAVE100 folder to have available to replace Norton with one of these: BitDefender, NOD32, Kaspersky.

Then, you should reboot in the safe mode (no network), uninstall Norton, then IE7. While there in the safe mode, do run all of your defrag/clean registry programs. Reboot, and after it settles down, install the new antivirus program. reboot. Then, go to MS update site and download the latest updates you need.

For whats it worth, I use IE7, Opera, Firefox and Safari beta3.( all with excellent results.)

Good Luck
What source in your PC, said there was an update to IE7??. Microsoft released if I recall about 11 critical updates and IE7 was one of the critical updates. If you have your updates on automatic then all of the critical updates would be downloaded to your pc. Depends, on if you want to be advised before the downloads, or if you want the downloads and be advised before installing. Do you have your auto. updates on or off for Microsoft??. (I am trying to ascertain who or what told you that you have an IE7 update). Couuld have been a "hacker".

And ofcourse you are running Nortons, pure garbage, that is no good at really finding any problems, and if one is found is unable to fix. Plus Nortons, usually is the major cause of problems with PC's that have Nortons installed.

Have you tried running Trend Micro HouseCall on line from their server. Here is the link and there is no conflict with any antivirus program. Allow the entire scan of your system. May take upto one hour, and in the end will find the virus I think you have or viruses/spyware and destroy them.

If you are going to continue to use Internet Explorer...I'd try resetting it to the default settings. If you have too many add-ons, it will slow IE 7. On your home page, click on tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt;Advance%26gt;Reset Internet Explorer settings. Follow any remaining instructions...you will then have a "fresh copy" of IE 7 which will run smoother and more efficiently.

Yahoo! Toolbar for IE and Tabs?

I recently asked how to open a standard set of websites via tabs on Yahoo! for IE and one user suggested that when Iclose Internet Explorer, Iwill be asked whether you want to close all tabs. When the prompt appears, click Show Options, select Open these the next time I use Internet Explorer, and then click Close Tabs. When I reopen Internet Explorer the tabs will be restored. Problem is when I click close, the option to "Show Options" does not appear. Also, when I click a link, is there any way I can have IE open up another tab vs. an additional IE window?

Yahoo! Toolbar for IE and Tabs?microsoft.com

To see the options menu for tabbing, go to the Tools menu, then click on "Internet Options" Under the "General" section, at the bottom, you can change your settings for tabs.

Now, as for opening webpages in different tabs instead of different windows... When you want to open a link, RIGHT-CLICK on it. Then a menu should pop up and the second option from the top is "Open in New Tab" Click on that, and the page will open in a new tab!

Before IE installs, it checks the registry for any and all versions that are already installed on your machine. If you wish to run an older version then you are now running, and if you are running XP, and the version of IE was an upgrade, simply navigate to the "Windows" folder My Computer/"C"/Windows, locate the upgrade in the "Uninstall" files (they are highlighted in blue) and uninstall the new version. You will then be able to install an older version.

Firefox and IE. CSS float:right renders differently. how do i fix this?

i have a DIV inside a Table. I set this DIV to float right.

In firefox (which renders the way i like), the content in DIV will display on the right side, and whatever content is in Table, i would display on the left but they BOTH start on the SAME line. In other words, the both content in DIV and Table is next to each other.

However, in IE 7, the Div renders first on the Right, THEN content in Table renders after. ie, as if there's a break %26lt;br%26gt; between the Div and Table content.

I want to code it so that IE displays it like Firefox. is there an attribute i'm missing? and tricks? please help me!

I wrote this code and it seems to work correctly in both Firefox and Internet Explorer:

%26lt;tr%26gt;

%26lt;td width="800"%26gt;

%26lt;div style="float:right; width: 50px"%26gt;

This is the right side stuff.

%26lt;/div%26gt;

This is the left side stuff.

%26lt;/td%26gt;

%26lt;/tr%26gt;

%26lt;/table%26gt;

Make sure the div that floats right comes before the rest of the test.

You have a customised version of IE on your pc, where the title bar has been customised with orange's name. I would not worry about this on you browser as this is only a display item.

As for other orange software, try and remove as much of it as possible in the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

IE powered by orangeuk, but I'm with BT now??microsoft excel internet explorer

Well where do i begin, Unfortunately orange insist that you use the CD they provide to load the usb modem (speedtouch) to your system. This also installs a load rubbish that to be honest spanners windows. I've had this problem with a client and the best solution was to back up your files and start-a-fresh with a CLEAN! install of Windows thus removing there bundled cr%p. its the only way to be sure that its gone.
SIMON K is correct. The "IE provided by Orangeuk" is a simple piece of text that Orange have inserted. Orange have no influence over your IE except that they may have set some of the defaults to their liking. The BT installation will have overwritten most of these anyway. If you really cannot live with it, somewhere in the depths of TuneUp Utilities 2007 http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-u... is an option to edit the text to get rid of the reference to Orangeuk
Change to Firefox.
You can also change this with a registry edit. Although it is probably safer to use the software mentioned above.

Delete button no longer works in IE E-Mail, works fine with Mozilla?

I seldom use IE for Yahoo E-Mail, I use Mozilla. However yesterday I upgraded IE to version 7.0. Since then when signing onto Yahoo E-Mail this web address would be in the tool bar: https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.int... with a notice saying:

'If you are seeing this page, your browser settings prevent you from automatically redirecting to a new URL.

Please click here to continue.'

This never occurs with Mozilla. After pressing 'click here' in IE the mail page comes up, but the delete button for E-Mail; the 'check all' button for bulk mail; and the submit button for submitting a question no longer responded. I uninstalled and deleted IE 7.0, but problem persists in the previous version of IE, which did not have this problem before. These buttons work fine with Mozilla. Is there a way to contact Yahoo via E-Mail about this?

whats your moaning about? ie7 is by far better than firefox, quicker much more user friendly. Go back to Add/Remove programs and look for Windows Internet Explorer 7.
Had similar questions, and got really frustrated.

Am now on mozilla firefox. Far better, the virus stopper thingy works and get few pop ups.
Uninstall immediately. It's just not ready or compatible with anything.

Rollback asap.

In ad remove scroll down to w's
Get Firefox! http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
If IE7 does not appear in add/remove programs check the box near the top that says show updates. This will show the IE7 uninstaller.
Go back to "Add or Remove Programs" and scroll the list. The entry is called "Windows Internet Explorer 7"
My Ie7 did that too i called the company and one thing they told me to do was the following:

1. Go to tools and select Internet Options

2. Click on the advanced tab

3. Scroll down to security and uncheck "use TLS 1.0" (i think its that one but it might be the SSL ones too)

Good Luck and u might have to restart internet explorer!

If that doesnt work just uninstall in add/remove programs, it will be under Windows Internet Explorer 7.0 i just checked.
Go to add remove programmes and scroll down....shows as Windows Internet Explorer 7, use Mozilla Firefox it is much better.
I'll bet this is the most frequently asked question on this site. Surely it has been picked up by Yahoo by now, who keep pushing it.
Cant agree more with whats already been said a few times - ditch IE and get Firefox, its so much more robust and less prone to online threats.

Then theres the extensions, the tabbed browsing, the lack of active x letting prats dump stuff on your machine without you knowing, there are many reasons why you should but GET FIREFOX!
I had same problem ,and could not find it ,so i reset computer to an earlier date,and everything is now ok.
There must be quite a few numb nuts out there, why are there so many user's finding the new IE7 such a head ache to download and use, my copy of IE7 was also downloaded with windows update's and so far it has been great, easy to use and no problems, there is very little difference between IE6 and IE7 so what is all the fuss about, it just goes to show that not every one can use a computer or understand what they are doing when sitting in front of the screen downloading software, you only have to look at some of the stupid question's on the answer's page to learn that
It may not show the first time but check to see that "show all updates" is checked.

A system restore might also work (it effect program files only - Start %26gt; Programs %26gt; Accessories %26gt; System Tools %26gt; System Restore) Choose a date before IE6 was "updated" to IE7.

It might take a couple attempts to take.

Or... you can try something different. Firefox is awesome, so is Opera. Both are free.

I, personally, prefer Firefox.

http://getfirefox.com/

http://adblockplus.org/ (this should be your first add-on for Firefox - guess what it does ^_^)

http://opera.com/
You should stick with the updated IE7 and NOT remove it from your computer as there are quite a few programs running on your PC that rely on IE7 to work properly, some in Firefox and Opera. There are also websites that Firefox and Opera can't open that IE7 can, and vice versa. I have both Firefox and IE7 on my PC happily working with each other.
You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.
Lots of people seem to be having problems with it. Try removing any toolbars or addons which may be integrated in to IE7 as these may not be compatible, things such as yahoo, google toolbar etc. Also check for any adware or spyware. This may get IE7 working.

Sorry no Idea how to get back to IE6 without add/remove programs. I did once find a program that uninstalled IE after about 3 hours of searching but can't remember what it was.

Would also suggest ditching IE altogether, try firefox or opera. much better browsers which cause less problems
you can get a patch from Microsoft called a compatibility patch it fools most sites that it is IE6 most sites have failed to update and we have got to wait for internet sites to upgrade to IE7
I had a ton of problems with IE 7 when I first loaded it in. I couldn't upload files to Yahoo! mail, my browser was always freezing etc...I thought I would have to either upgrade OR use another browser so I DLed Opra 9. Mind you, Opra 9 was great, but, it wasn't working with ALL media and websites. So, what I did was a little more research and found out some of the issues that are causing IE 7 problems. I have included a link that, if you follow the steps, will cease your problems with IE7.

It includes what amount of memory to dedicate to the new browser, what settings to leave on and turn off, and even a simple fix of reinstalling and rebooting TWICE instead of once. It worked for me and for a few of my friends, it should work for you as well...

I have IE7 and it's the best thing ever. all the regular sites that I use work fine.

Perhaps it's some of the sites you are using have not been updated to work properly with the new browsers.

Sites need to update themselves with technology aswell!

Error 404 in IE?

Thanks for help; I have updated IE and still got 404; my site is hosted on my own web server, so I think there is no need to set the custom error message,yes? But when I try to access my site from other comp, it still works with Mozilla, but IE cant find a page (404)? How can it be fixed? Please help!?

Error 404 in IE?microsoft.com

I'm going to assume "your own web server" is Microsoft IIS. In the Internet Services Manager (I believe that's what it's called), right-click on the web site and make sure you have an IP address assigned to the web site. If not, then I believe it uses your local IP (127.0.0.1), which isn't accessible from any computer but yours. Try setting the IP to your IP.

IE keeps shutting off by itself. Help!?windows installer internet explorer

u hav a virus called heap32
Download Firefox (www.firefox.org) and you'll be all set. Keep IE only for Windows websites.
check your ram to see if you have enough. If you don't that will cause it to shut down
Hello ,

Familiarize yourself with all "Add-ons" this may help the crashes as you are experiencing . You can always open a second browser for yout important searches and work and use 1 browser for surfing . Also , when opening a website , give the website to fully load before open other websites . You will see the website icon in full in the browser tab to . Look up the meanings of each Add-on and decide which to disable . When the time comes and a website pops up an alert needing the Add-on , you can enable that Add-on then . I disable all Yahoo Add-ons as a recommended security barrier . I use a lot of Yahoo features and E-mail and never had tpo enable Yahoo Add-ons yet even though Yahoo pops up an alert saying that I need to enable it . I assume you are using IE7 . To view Add-ons %26gt; Navigate %26gt; On the browser %26gt; Button %26gt; click : Tools/Manage Add-ons/Enable or disable Add-ons/Where it reads "Show" is a catagory of the way Add ons are handled . View each one (by clicking the drop down arrow . In the box below are the Add-ons of that catagory . Click on the Add-on (underlined) , this will activate option to enable -or- disable its function by tic or click Enable or disable in the area below marked "Settings" .

Ie Spam???

Everytime i open my web browser (ie 7) another two browser windows open and these stupid sites come up like poker and weird companies like iforex, and on the tab before the name CiD: is written?? what can this be from?? help???

Ie Spam???windows update

Sounds like you have some spyware or malware infecting your machine. Ideally I'd say buy an anti-virus %26amp; anti-spyware application to keep your computer clean and protected from this sort of thing. But there are free alternatives from AVG. Whether they work as well is hard to say. Kaspersky has a decent paid app that does well. You can also try Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy which always worked good for me when I was putting up with this junk on Windows.

I put up a lot of links for you to check out, so at least one of them should work for you. If one isn't working out, you can always uninstall it. These are all safe apps I've linked you to.

IE 7 Links same page?

in IE 7 the popup links used to appear in the tab bar of the same screen but now they appear in a different one how do i make them all appear in their seperate tabs (up the top) in the one screen instead of in a new one on the tool bar down the bottom(hwere everything comes up eg word, msn etc)

any help would be really appreciated thanks

IE 7 Links same page?windows live

Try by opening the menus: Tools%26gt;Internet options.

Once there, you should get a "Internet options" window. In the

"General" tab, Look for and click the "Settings" button right to the Tabs area. The "Tab browsing settings" window should appear, select there the most convenient options for you and finally click "OK". Good luck.

Need help on IE..Firefox and Opera at workplace?microsoft word

Firstly tell your system admin he is a clot. If he must insist in forcing you to use IE at least make him upgrade to IE7 where you will at least get tabs and little extra sercurity.

Need help on IE..Firefox and Opera at workplace?windows movie maker internet explorer

Download firefox portable from portableapps.com and save it to a jump drive. Then you can run firefox off the jump drive on any computer at work.
Talk to your sysadmin. He's probably been cracking down on security, and therefore disallowing some programs.
Of course, a more feasible idea here is that using Policies, your System Admin has changed settings for everyone's Internet Explorer to use a proxy server. This is common in the corporate world.

Now in Internet Explorer, Go to Tools -%26gt; Internet Options -%26gt; Connections -%26gt; LAN Settings

If you see proxy settings there, simply make a note of them. Both Opera and Firefox allow you to enter in Proxy settings. Once you do this, you will have no issues browsing the web.
